About Me
Born in Portugal, I embarked on journey that led me to the UK in my early twenties, where I pursued studies in Psychology before transitioning to Marketing, ultimately earning my degree. London has been my home for the majority of my adult life, serving as the backdrop for my personal and professional growth. As an advocate for holistic solutions, I firmly believe that aid and governments alone will not resolve the multifaceted environmental, economical and social challenges we face today. Instead, I believe in the transformative power of entrepreneurship in shaping global sustainability and the economic landscape. By promoting innovative businesses practices and fostering collaboration among entrepreneurs, we can create meaningful impact.

The Inspiration
The roots of this blog and my interest in sustainability trace back to my childhood, shaped by the experiences of my parents who migrated from Cabo Verde to Portugal when they were young. Growing up, I learnt about the severe droughts that devasted their homeland and its profound impact it had on the Cabe Verdean community. My interest was ignited further by a science lesson when I was 11, where I learnt about desalination as a potential solution to water scarcity. This early exposure led me into a journey of exploration and research for the past decade. Inspired by the transformative potential of entrepreneurship, I established Serbetta, a social enterprise dedicated to promoting handmade products crafted from sustainable materials by artisans worldwide. Although, Serbetta as a social enterprise failed to succeed, the lessons learned along the way have been invaluable. motivating me to share inspiring stories and insights in this blog.
